Welcome to Redstone Software’s new website

You will have likely noticed a myriad of changes. In fact, in terms of appearance and product offerings, it might be easier to highlight what hasn’t changed. This may prompt you to ask why we decided to make such a dramatic change. The answer is simple and is keeping with our commitment to always listen to you, our customers, and ensure that our products, services and solutions are meeting your needs. And, what we heard loud and clear was that while you loved our Eggplant Green and Purple products, it was not really clear what each product did; that while our previous website was nice it was not as easy to find information as might be desired; that while our logo was “okay” it did not capture the vibrancy of our company or take root in your mind or the mind of our prospective customers. Therefore, we felt it was time to reinvent ourselves. Hence, we have a new look and feel to our website along with new product names. Importantly, we have not lost anything that we offered in the past, we have merely made what we did have better. For example:

Eggplant Green is now being sold under the name Eggplant Starter Edition (SE). This has been done to capture the essence of what the software is designed to do better than calling it Green. Put simply, the name says it all. This is the starter version of our product that is designed to help people get to grips with the benefits of automation. When people are ready for the next stage of automation they can upgrade to our other products. That brings us nicely to what has happened with Eggplant Purple.

Eggplant Purple is being split into two different products. It will now be known as Eggplant Functional Tester (FT) and Eggplant Load Tester (LT). Here is quick description of each:

Eggplant FT is designed to provide the exact same feature set as Eggplant Purple but with a name that more accurately reflects the fact that the product is designed to optimize functional testing of applications whether that be regression testing, data-driven testing, integration testing, user-acceptance testing, etc.

Eggplant Load Tester (LT) is a new edition of the product and offers a feature set in addition to those features found in Eggplant FT that makes the process of executing functional tests in a load-testing environment far simpler while continuing to uphold the principle that unless you are testing from the end-user perspective you aren’t testing in a way that ensure you are meeting your customers’ needs.

Yet another new item is the introduction of Eggplant Training (TR). This product makes training on how to use Eggplant accessible to everyone at any time of the day right from his or her computer. No longer is it necessary to travel to an open enrollment training class or participate in an onsite training. Instead, using this self-paced training system you can work at your own pace in your own time.

The last point we would like to highlight is the increase in online videos highlighting how the various editions of Eggplant work. As time goes on we will look at putting more videos online showing you how to do many common tasks and addressing common problems. As such, we recommend that you visit the site frequently to see the latest updates to the site.

We hope that all of the changes that we have made will deliver you a better web experience and will help you understand why Redstone products offer the best means of delivering quality applications to customers. After all, the same thing that we hope makes our website great, our commitment to listening to what you want to see, is the same thing that makes our products exceptional.
